The times in my life when I have had the most hope while in the midst of a difficult situation was when I heard someone else’s testimony of how they came through it. I found I could relate to them and I found hope in knowing that God could bring me through it because He brought them through it too. My purpose in this blog is not just to have you read something I wrote. I want this to always be a place where you can find hope and encouragement. I want you to grow in your relationship with God and be connected with others.
Links to the personal stories that have been featured on this site are listed below with a little more information about the ladies behind those stories. I hope you find the encouragement you need from these testimonies. If you would like to share your story to encourage others, please contact me.
It’s in the seasons of heartache and waiting that we grow the most because we must cling to God. We must trust that God knows best and His timing is perfect. I have been wanting to share other people’s stories to encourage you, but the story I wanted to share first was my own. You can read more about me here.
Stephanie Miller is a personal and spiritual growth coach, also known as a Christian life coach. Her coaching ministry, Butterfly Beginnings, partners with women who are ready to transform into the person God has called them to be! There she also has her own blog encouraging women and challenging them to grow closer to God and in community with each other. Her heart’s desire is Hebrews 10:24, “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds…” (NIV)
Stephanie is the mother to two adorable golden doodle pups, an army wife, and an uprooted Yankee transplanted in the “deep south.” She and her husband are expecting their first child in December 2017. She serves at her local church as a pastoral caregiver, small group leader, and discipleship coach. When she is not chasing her dogs around or writing or reading, she enjoys coffee or lunch with friends, being active outdoors, and baking.
The verse that changed her life is Jeremiah 29:11. Unsure of what her purpose was after moving away from family and starting a new life, this verse gave her hope and a promise that God has kept to her by empowering her to boldly step out of her comfort zone and encourage others through her writing and coaching.
